FLO users can register for a free account through the FLO mobile app or website.
EV drivers can deposit funds into their account by using an authorized credit card.
All transactions are conducted using a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor that enables FLO users to securely process credit card transactions.
All funds are held in a separate account which is used to facilitate the transfer of distributable revenues to a station owner.
After each charging session, an email receipt is delivered to the FLO user providing a summary of the transaction, including charging time, energy transferred, cost, and applicable taxes.
A user can activate a charging station using the FLO app, the FLO RFID card or through roaming. Station owners choose whether charging stations are free to access, or if there is a fee associated with it. After each charging session, the user account will be debited the cost for their charging session, plus applicable taxes.
FLO charges a 15% transaction fee which covers all costs of the billing process and remits the remainder revenue to station owners on a quarterly basis via cheque or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
FLO provides stations owners with a quarterly report which provides a financial statement including distributed revenue and any taxes paid during the period.
All charging session transactions are captured by FLO’s network management system and are available to review through an online dashboard for station owners and EV drivers.
